Marc Lau is an Investment Director at Axiom Asia Private Capital where he was a part of the founding team of four professionals. Marc was responsible for Axiom’s investments in Asia ex-China in Axiom I and currently has a particular focus on South East Asia and Australia. Marc is also active in the firms secondary transactions and its co-investment program. Prior to Axiom Asia, Marc worked at GIC Special Investments (GIC SI) in the Global Strategy and Investment Group (GSIG) in Singapore and San Francisco. While at GSIG, Marc assisted the Asia Private Equity Group and the North America Private Equity Group in making investments in funds as well as companies.

After leaving GIC SI, Marc was the Deputy General Manager of a Danaher Corporation (NYSE:DHR) subsidiary in China where he led the critical first year start-up and managed the greenfield transition of a multi-million dollar product line to China. He was responsible for P&L and all aspects of daily management, including Operations, Supply Chain, Quality (ISO/TS), Finance, IT and HR and has successfully transitioned the business to a local team he helped recruit.

Marc attended Harvard Business School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University.
